A rare late 19th Century heavy celadon glazed porcelain teapot decorated in Qianjiang style with painting and poetry. The calligraphy to the right of the handle reads - " By the spring water enjoy the coolness of noon" and is signed - Mei Shan Shi. On the next side "Wealth,Honour,Luck" is inscribed in red - in black is written "copy Han Zhong style script" with a red seal which reads Fang Gu ("Copy Antiques"). To the right of the spout - "Jade Dew and Sweet Spring Water" - signed (in red) Shi Mao. To the left of the spout is the cyclical date - "one summer day in 1886" and is signed (by the artist) Fang Jia Zhen (active 1884 - 1906 during the reign of the Guangxu emperor). On the cover the characters read "Light Fragrance" and around the cover is written "a waft of light fragrance will always last". On the base, in iron red, reads "Made in the Government kiln." Condition - there is a barely visible, well repaired, chip to the rim (under the cover); there is a chip to the top of the cover and there are glaze cracks to the top surface. 10cm (4 inches) high; 16cm (6.3inches) long.

浅绛诗画方壶 署名方家珍 约1886年
一件稀有的19世纪晚期绿釉浅绛诗画方壶。胎体厚重,壶把右边有诗句:清泉乍试午阴凉,梅山氏。其右侧面用汉钟文书写红色“富贵吉祥”,黑色“节临汉钟文富贵图四字“,及红色“仿古“印章。壶嘴右边有“玉露甘泉——式茅”字样,左边有“丙戌年夏日——方家珍(注:艺术活跃期1884-1906)“。壶盖有“清香气味”四字,壶肩有“清香永味”四字。壶底有红色“官窑内造”四字。
品相:口沿有一处几乎不可见的口磕修复,壶盖顶有一处磕口,壶肩部釉面有开片。高10厘米,长16厘米。
