A rare, finely decorated, late Ming twin-handled bronze vase which still retains traces its original gilding. The vase carries the six character reign mark of the Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made later during the 16th or early 17th Century - possibly during the reign of the Wanli emperor (1573-1619). Condition very good - there are slight bumps and there are the usual small repairs which will have been made at the time of manufacture. 23cm (9 inches)high. Weight - 1.08kg.
