Ming Crackle Glaze Longquan Celadon Vase (1368-1644)
A small, heavy, green globular bottle vase with thick glassy crackle glaze in imitation of Song dynasty Guan official ware glazes. This item was made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province, China during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). Condition - there are "kiln grit" adhesions to the glaze (please see enlargement 3) and there is some chipping to the glaze in one area where it seems there has been an attempt to remove some of the grit (all visible in enlargement 9) ; no further damage and no restoration. 10cm (4 inches) high.
