A larger than average ovoid jar (without cover) profusely decorated with Famille Rose enamels depicting stylized lotus scrolls enclosing two large panels and two small peach shaped panels. The panels are painted with peony, lotus and other flowers; one panel depicts an egret amongst water plants. This item was made in China in the late 18th or early 19th Century, circa 1790-1820 during the Qianlong or Jiaqing reign. Condition - there is wear and some losses to the enamels but there are no chips, no cracks and there has been no restoration. 26.5cm (10.3inches) high.
