A rare porcelain bowl very finely decorated with stylized flower scrolls painted with overglaze blue and green enamels. On the base is an underglaze blue shop or maker's mark within a double ring. This item was made in China, probably for export, in the early 18th Century during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735). Condition: there are five repaired rim chips infilled with removable Museum Standard Conservation Grade material; there is one associated 4cm (1.5 inch) hairline running from the rim and there is some wear to the interior due to prolonged use over many years.
