A porcelain jar with replacement wood cover painted with polychrome Famille Rose enamels and decorated with four Chilong (Chi Dragon) medalions reserved against a dense ground of stylized scrolling lotus. This item was made in China circa 1730 to 1750, probably during the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795).
