A bronze tripod censer with elephant form feet made during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1736-1795). There is no cover and the handles have been removed. There are losses to the ear of one elephant and to the trunk of the other, with one exception, all the semi-precious stones which would have been set in the elephants headresses are missing.
