A very attractive, well patinated bronze censer on lotus form stand with ruyi - shaped feet. On the base is the six character seal mark of the Xuande Emperor but this item was made later, during the 17th Century - late Ming or early Qing. The censer appears to have been used as a plant pot - the base has been drilled in three places and there are heavy malachite - tinged encrustations to the interior (please see pictures).
