| A handsome silver medal presented by the City of Paris. Obverse: Fluctuat Nec Mergitur & Sailing Ship. Reverse: Ville De Paris & presentation. This all silver medal was designed by Maurice Delannoy (1885-1972), a well regarded medalist, the medal was presented by the city of Paris as recognition of fine service to the city. It measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter (63mm) and weighs 119 grams, has a nice heft in the hand. I am not capable of giving a proper numistmatist's grading, but the condition appears to be excellent. It is hallmarked on the edge with an animals head & 1ARGENT. Beautiful example of the medalist's art. | ||
