A wonderful piece of Historic Americana, this beautiful mid-19th century painting of a little boy painted by Colonel Orlando H. Moore, a Union Army Civil War hero who saved the city of Louisville from Morgan's Raiders on July 4, 1863.

The boy is painted in full figure, sitting on a porch with a large white column to his right with hills in the background within an oval painted frame. He is wearing a pleated blue shirt, with grey trousers, black shoes and red socks...

A rare ginger jar lid in perfect condition in the style of Wang Bing Rong. It measures 3 3/16" across the interior of the rim, 3 1/2" across the exterior of the rim and 1 3/4" tall. It features a turquoise background with a full lotus plant. It shows normal signs of age and use but no chips, cracks or repairs.

A beautifully carved three dimensional ivory cane handle featuring an elk head with a full rack with gold filled mounts. It has a wonderful mellowed patina from use with the side that the owners thumb rested upon being a deeper color than the other side. It measures 4 3/4" long and is in good condition for its age showing normal signs of use and wear. There is one darkly colored, very tight crack showing on the underside but it does not interfere with the stability of the piece...

A beautiful hand carved antique display stand for a piece with an oval base such as a moonflask or a jade carving. The top and apron are carved from a single piece of rosewood (possibly huanghuali?); the four feet are carved separately and attached. It is in very good condition for its age with a warm old patina - it has no damages or repairs...

A beautiful and large antique damascened steel Qajar Dynasty vase dating to the 19th century, mounted as a lamp in the 20th century.

The design features five columns that encircle the vase with many different scenes of courtly life finely rendered in the steel and highlighted with gold. The vase itself measures 22 1/2" tall and the lamp measures 30 1/2" overall...

A set of three finely carved antique ivory beads that are reminiscent of puzzle balls. They are in good condition for their age with normal signs of wear and use but no damage that I can see. The two beads measure 10 mm in diameter and the larger bead measures 13 mm in diameter.

A large, finely carved ivory pendant in the form of a chrysanthemum encircled by other flowers, all raised in a three dimensional effect from the openwork background. It measures 2 1/2" tall to the top of the bail and it is 1 3/4" wide. It is approximately 5/8" deep at its deepest point. It weighs 17.5 grams...

A large pair of finely embroidered Chinese silk panels in mirror image, framed. The skill exhibited in the work is superb. It was impossible to capture the detail through the glass in the frame but each stitch is finely executed. The panel measures 23" by 12 1/4" and the frame measures 27" by 16" overall.

A framed antique Chinese embroidered textile dating the Qing Dynasty, matted with a pale blue silk mat framed in a black frame with gold highlights simulating bamboo. The size of the embroidered textile is 22 3/4" long by 5 3/8" wide, the overall dimensions of the frame are 30 1/2" by 13"...

A pair of antique book illustrations that are framed showing scenes from India. There are no indications what book the illustrations are from, the one on the left is numbered "5" at the top center and the one on the right is numbered "6" at the top center. In the upper right it is labelled "Tom: V. No 43. Pag 116.".

Each measures approximately 7 3/4" by 4 3/4" site size and they are nicely matted in a custom made mat. The overall size of the frame is 17 1/8" by 13 5/8"...
