The center keyed latch bears the words "70 Champs Elysees Paris. LOUIS VUITTON. 149, New Bond Street, London" and the number "047348" with his original key (very rare!) stamped also with the same serial number and L. Vuitton, Paris, London. The two other locks are signed with LV monogram, all brass rivets are signed with Louis Vuitton name. The interior with the original label and serial number 735712.

The sides of this beautiful trunk have inscribed the initials "E.H.W." which were the initials of the original trunk's owner. Many vintage travel labels on two sides.

Condition: very good. All of the wooden slats are in place and solid, the leather strip trim bearing the LV monogram are in good condition, some wears on the edges. Fixings of the original handles (stamped Vuitton) were torn by wear. The interior of the trunk is in very good condition, some spots on fitted lid. The key was resoldered, see photographs.
