| Finely painted in polychrome enamels and gilt over a clear crackled glaze with flying birds, blossoming trees, mountains, pagoda, iris and chrysanthemums, gilt geometric decoration in colour reserves on shoulders and base. Signed underside, Shimazu family crest, cartouche reads Satsuma. Japan, Satsuma, Taisho period (1912-1926). Perfect antique condition, no chips, cracks or repairs, see photographs.
