Rare cotton and wool tapestry "Legend" after the model of one of the ten collages in colours belonging to the series "Revolving doors" from 1916-1917.
Signed Man Ray on right bottom and monogrammed on left bottom. The tapestry was realised by the french manufacture "Atelier 3. Les Lissiers" and is
numbered two of a series of six. Dimensions: H: 76.4"(194cm) by L: 56.7"(144cm). Good condition.
V. LEGEND By taking an umbrella in section, removing the tip, and turning it over on its curve, a receptacle is offered for a colored growth, including the handle. Between the drawn forms occur autonomous forms which are either left transparent or filled in by the variations that may remain after the others have made their choice.
