A "LANDSCAPE" RUSSIAN OIL PAINTING BY MICHAIL KOKIN

A Magnificent russian oil painting "Country landscape" by Michail Aleksandrovich Kokin (1921-2000). Dimensions: 69 by 80cm. Oil on canvas, signed in Cyrillic lower right M.Kokin and countersigned, named and dated on back the 1984. Framed.

Mikhail Aleksandvovich Kokin was born in Ekaterinoslav, Ukraine in 1921. He studied at the Fine Arts School of Dnepropetrovsk from 1937 through 1941, then he study at the Kiev Art Institute as a student of Serguei Grigoriev until 1954.
He is best known for his landscapes and marine paintings. Since 1957 he has been a member of the Union of Artists, Emeritus Painters of Ukraine. He has had several solo exhibitions since 1992.
His works are in the collections of the museum of Ukrainian Art in Kiev, the Fine Arts Museum in Dnepropetrovsk and many private collections in France, Spain, Canada and in the USA.
