A unique bronze censor in Haitang (quatrefoil) shape from the 17th century China with beautiful patina. It has two mythical beast handles on both sides. The plain body shows typical Chinese scholar taste. Xuande Mark at the bottom. Height x Width: 2 1/4 x 5 1/4 in. (5.7 x 13.3 cm). Good condition. Provenance: from the Yang, Bingzhen collection. Yang is the famous bronze censer collector from Taiwan in 1970s. He is the author of the famous book about censer "Jin Yu Qing Yan" ("Gold, Jade and Blue Smoke".)
