Rice-Grain Pattern LINGLONG Porcelain Bowl QIANLONG Mk
An antique elegant and beautiful blue and white rice grain pattern Linglong porcelain bowl with old brass mounting around the rim and foot, and bearing a Qianlong six characters mark on the base. It should be dated to the 19th century or earlier. Floral decoration is pierced through the body in the so-called "rice-grain" technique. the body are filled by the colorless glaze. Painted with five bats around a peach inside meaning of longevity.

The Linglong porcelain is famous for its exquisitely carved patterns and glittering, translucent appeal. Grain-sized holes were hollowed out in the thin roughcast and the glaze was applied several times to cover them. Then, the half-finished products were baked in kilns to produce linglong porcelain. It was also called a "Devil's work".

Diameter: 17 cm. Height: 7 cm. Condition: Very good condition. No hairline or crack. Two firing flaws.
