This is a Thai Rattanakosin period,early 20th century handicraft carved coconut shell in the shape of a basket decorated with a different animal of the Asian Zodiac cycle. Please see details of animal in the photo. This is a very fine carving from the whole coconut shell with the wooden base. On the top of the handle, there is a mark of the Buddhist year ,72 which means that this coconut shell was carved in the year 2472 ( Buddhist year which is 1929 A.C ) Condition : In perfect condition Size : D. 16 cm.
