OUTSTANDING BAKUBA BUSHONGO NTSHAKABWWIN STYLE TEXTILE

Bakuba Peoples, Congo. Although newer than most of our other Bakuba textiles, this is an excellent Bakuba Bushongo garment; executed in the Ntshakabwiin style, but showing all the hallmarks of Bushongo work: deep cut-pile end panel; Bushongo 'raised-dot' cut pile work in a pyramid pattern to the side borders; Bushongo cut pile work to the center field (the "Mboom"), etc.; measuring approximately 50" x 20 3/4" (127 x 53 cm.), this wonderful work represents the finest of contemporary Bakuba Bushongo textile art.
