| Bakuba Peoples, Bashoba Shoowa sub-tribe, Congo. Although newer than most of our other Bakuba textiles, this is a superb Shoowa weaving; the finest that has ever been done. The master textile artisan who created this particular piece displayed her superlative skill by showing a 'sampling' of patterning to the center. Showing superb Shoowa deep cut-pile technique, flat weaving technique to the border edging, etc., this superb textile measures approximately 43" x 17 1/4" (109 x 44 cm.) | ||
