This very impressive carved jade bi disk measures 6 &1/4 by inch in size. It is very meticulously hand carved and dates from between the Warring States to the Western Han dynasty (475 BC to 9 AD). It was made from high quality white to yellow-green jade which has changed (calcified) to some extent from long burial. The hand abrasion technique and fine detail is clearly visible over the whole piece. Similar examples can be seen in the Zacke Gallery auction catalog from November 23, 1999 ...click for details

$420.00 - Firm price

This is a very unusual if not unique antique brush pot. It is made of beautiful translucent jade. It's base is a late 19th century one yen silver Japanese coin. As far as I can tell the coin dates to 1894. Both the jade and the coin are in excellent condition. I would expect that the brush pot is of Chinese origin but it could be Japanese. It measures 8.5 cm's long and is 5.5 cm's wide and dates to the late 1800 to very early 1900's.

This is a well carved large Brushwasher in the form of a lotus leaf boat with a small child or accolade and smaller lotus flowers. The light colored jade is mottled & russet in part. The fitted hand carved zitan wood stand appears to be original to the brush washer. It is carved to imitate waves. Based on my research and knowledge I would date this to the Ming dynasty. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Size: 6 1/2 inches long, 2 inches wide and 2 inches high wit ...click for details
