The mark on the back of this large plate reads “Satusma” with the Satsuma mon. It is 14 inches across and very heavily potted. The hand painted design is very detailed and peaceful. This would look specular if it was hung on a wall. Condition: Very good, no chips or cracks.

This teapot has a lovely Iris flower design on the front. It is signed in Japanese on the back opposite the iris as you can see in the pictues. It is in excellent condition with just a little rust on the inside. There is also some rust on the handle which would clean up easily. It measures about 7 inches tall to the top of the handle.

This well carved vase or incense holder has two panels on the front and a signed poem or saying on the back. Each panel depicts sages or scholars. From what I could determine the poem refers to what they are doing. It measures 13.25 inches long and 4.5 inches wide. Aside from the typical age cracks that this type of ware acquires it is in perfect condition with a rich patina.
This is a most unusual Egyptian influence Art Deco Sweet Relish set. It was made in Japan in the 1920’s. It is completely hand painted with a custom decorated lacquer box. The hand painting on this dish set is really amazing, just look and the dozens of tiny faces and the geometric designs. The dish set is in near perfect condition, with no chips or cracks. The top lacquer lid is damaged as pictured. The damage is much less noticeable on the top side but it is damaged. The box measures ten ...click for details

The workmanship on this snuff bottle is really fantastic. The colored glass enameling is full of air bubbles. It's very unusual in that it has the dragon in brass relief. The colors are very vibrant and crisp. It's possible that this bottle is older then what I have it listed as. It measures 2 3/4 inches high with the lid on.
This double sided Tapa is most likely from the South Pacific (Samoa or Fiji). It had been stored in a folded condition for a very long time so there is some damage as you can see. The colors are still very vibrate, you can almost see the artist painting them, they are so alive. The fiber is very thin indicating that this is an older one probably from around 1900. A very unusual feature is the different designs on both sides of the cloth. Size: 78 x 103 inches (6.5 x 8.6 feet) Shipping: Fre ...click for details

This large "jade tree" has a most unusual base, I have not been able to find another one like this. It is very well executed and is in excellent condition there are perhaps two petals missing, nothing else wrong at all. The white stone appears to be jade, the brown and green are agate, the purple is amethyst, the pink is rose quartz and I'm not sure what the yellow stone is. The little buds on the amethyst are clear quartz. Size: 19 inches high and 17 inches wide including the ba ...click for details
