This deep bowl has an elaborate fierce white dragon with seven men around it. The workmanship is exceptional as you can easily see in the pictures. It measures 4 ĺ inches across by 2 inches high. Itís a very unusual shape and the designs include two Shimazu monís (family crest). The signature is the most elaborate of any piece I have ever had. There is some ware to the gold and the top edge is slightly rough because of the way the inside design was pained to the very edge.

This well carved vase or incense holder has two panels on the front and a signed poem or saying on the back. Each panel depicts sages or scholars. From what I could determine the poem refers to what they are doing. It measures 13.25 inches long and 4.5 inches wide. Aside from the typical age cracks that this type of ware acquires it is in perfect condition with a rich patina.
This beautiful Japanese incense burner stands almost 5 inches high. Itís top and feet as well as the two foo dog handles are gold gilded. The painting is very well executed. It is in excellent condition but it has no lid. The missing lid was most likely made of silver.

This well carved ivory netsuke is of a rare subject and may be truly unique. The keeling geisha is bare from the waist up with arms out stretched leaning on what appears to be pillow. What is particularly interesting is the carved rat astride the bottom of her back. It measures 1 and 7/8 inches long. It in perfect condition with nice age and patina. I donít know who the artist is but I have included a detailed image of it for your convenience.
