| We could find only one tiny touch mark on the silver base. We are not sure if it is an Italian standard, but if this is not 800 silver, given the incredible amount of hand chased detail work (not just molded) it must be silvered bronze (it is definitely not white metal as it rings when tapped). Very heavy and solid. We believe it feels like silver, but bid without the assumption unless you recognize the touch mark. The glass insert is clear hand blown glass with little flecks of included gold. This was probably the work of Salviati. It is about 110 years old, but in mint condition. Very elegant over all form - a stand out piece of craftsmanship or art. 8 7/8" diameter by 10 1/2" tall. | ||
