Set of two back and white early silver prints from Tamil Naddu, Southern India, Circa 1880. The photographer was probably English. The first picture show a local Maharaja sitting on a chair with his wife behind him. The second photo is with the same Maharaja together with is personal doctor and is English wife. The story say the Maharaja organize the murder of is doctor for jalousie reason. Some minor restorations are need it. Good condition.

All are skillfully chiseled representing geometrical design. The shapes are from sitting elephant to flying bird. Circa 1860. Good condition, only sold as a set.
