Pair of rice knife from southern Sri Lanka, early 20 century. The two blades are beautifully chiseled representing Buddhist sign. The symmetrical design are made to guaranty good harvest for the next year to come. One of the handle is made out of Jack wood and the other is carved in horn. Height: 470mm Dept: 240mm |
