Rare Jewelry box made of Calamander wood ( royal Ebony) , from Sri Lanka, early 19 Century. This wood is a very precious and rare. Beautiful shape. All the brass part including the lock and the two Dutch inches are original. The inside compartments is made of Satin wood inlay with Black Ebony ( perfect condition). All the small cover are made with Satin wood as well and finely inlay with black ebony and Ivory. ( need restoration). The inside of the top cover inlay with two circles of ebony and Ivory are intact. The Ivory elephant need some restoration. Good general condition. Collectable piece.
