Unique Japanese Wedding Gown, Embroidery in Soft Blue
Unique Japanese wedding kimono (Uchikake), embroidered in light blue silk. This gown is very tasteful. It was not made in a large Uchikake kimono maker but sewn on a professional level. The colors of fabric and the embroideries are slightly different on different parts of the gown. This was mainly caused by the light and direction of the fabric. This may sound strange to you but the same thing happens with a silk carpet; when you look at the silk carpet from the different angles, the same carpet can look totally different. The yellowish colors are from gold threads in the embroidery. The light reflects differently when the fabrics are placed in the same direction. This did not affect the look in a negative way.

The condition is excellent with the basting stitches still intact. Dimensions: 52 1/2" wide (sleeve to sleeve) x 74" long, the sleeves, 47" long. The white linen that covered the bottom padding was taken out for the photos.
