| This image is one out of a group of original albumen photographs of Shanghai in the 1890's. The image is in sepian tone with strong contrast, and with fine details. It shows the water tower for the English settlement, next to the bridge which seperates it from the French settlement. The image has an ink title: Shanghai, Water tower. The image is matted on a thick board, photo size is 8 3/4x11 inches. With excellent condition. Circa late 1870's to 1880's. I think the image was taken by a professional hand judged the quality.
