This is an extremely scare original photograph album of Hong Kong, with 24 original strong sepian toned photographs by Denis H. Hazell, possibly in the 1920's. There is no dating of the album. But it is surely from the 1920's based on the text information companied with each photo, and but the look of the some of the buildings along the harbour. Each image is slightly pasted on the "framed" border on each thick page, so they look very artistically enchanting and beautiful. Each image is like a jewel on each page as it is well composed and well presented with velvet surface of thick photographic paper. Each image is companied on the opposite page with typed English description. The album is string-bound, so you can take each page off from the album. Literally, you can frame each image. I have not been albe to locate another copy or been able to find who is the photographer. But he or she was absolutely a very talented professional with keen artistical eye as each image is truely a fine example of this exotic admixture of East and West. Condition of each image is flawless with rating 1-10, it is absolutely on the top 10. The album does have very minor wear due to the age along the edges. Spine ends have minor tears. But these minor defects only shows on the covers of the album. Since they have 24 images, and I can only show a few fine example here. Inquiry can be made via email. Size of the image in the album is slightly shy of 4x6 inches. Album size is 8 1/4 x 11 1/4 inches.
