Late 18th century Height: 2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm.) Apparently formed of two tree roots, crossed in the center to form the himotoshi and carved at the ends with a sheaf of rice, bird scarer, rain cape and a hat, the ivory rather worn and bearing a good patina.
