| Qing dynasty, Qianlong mark and period (1736-1795) The walls springing directly from a very short base, rising steeply and then curving inside inward at the shoulder, the neck high and straight forward, carved continuously with sprigs, foliage and blossoming flowers, a dragon curling around the neck under stylized clouds and a border of inverted banana leaves. For a similar example but without a foot see Jana Volf 'Treasures of Chinese Glass Work Shops' (Asiantiques, 1997) p. 40, cat. no. 25. H. 6 1/16 in. (15.4 cm.)
