Beautiful Ancient Egyptian Carnelian Wedjat Amulet
This Wedjat measures 17 mm in length.

Condition: Pristine. It's mounted to a modern, large gold pendant for safety and wearability.

The Wedjat is also known as the eye of Horus. Considered a potent and powerful symbol in ancient Egyptian culture and religion. It represents the eye of Horus, the Falcon who represented the Sun, and it served as a talisman for protection. Other benefits of it's power were thought to be strength and prosperity. Used primarily in funerary placement as well as in bodily decoration. The symbol was also used by the ancient Egyptians in mathematics to represent fractions.
