This is a substantial, ancient Egyptian alabaster canopic jar. Dates to the New Kingdom in Egyptian history, circa 1500 BCE. A hefty piece, measuring 25 cm (10") tall and 18 cm (7.2") wide. The lid is missing to antiquity. Condition: intact and choice with no chipping, cracking or repairs whatsoever. A fantastic piece. Provenance provided to purchaser. |
