Green and black serpentine earrings from Santo Domingo Pueblo. They measure 3 3/8 inches including the hook and the stone is 2 3/8 inches long by 3/8 inch wide at the base. The hooks are sterling and were replaced about five years ago.
Nifty Santo Domingo 1930s-40s Thunderbird pendant in very good condition for its age. At one point a pin back was added and is no longer there. I am guessing the necklace was broken and someone made it into a pin. The original hole for stringing as a pendant is intact. I will apologize for the photo of the hole, I cannot hold it still enough for a clear shot. Measures 2 9/16th inches long x 1 5/8 inches wide.
Excellent condition thirty-six stone Zuni row bracelet c. 1950s. Bracelets like this were made for a trading post/shop. All of the stones are a beautiful blue with no chips or cracks. The stamping is also in superb condition showing virtually no wear. I left it as found and those who like it polished may polish. The face measures 7/8" + a hair wide, inside is 5 5/16" with a 1 1/16" gap. It weighs 45.2 grams or 1.45 troy ounce.
Elegant inlaid bands of turquoise separated with bands of mother of pearl. The bezel is surrounded with a fine twisted wire and three raindrops on each end. The ring is c.1950-60s. The stones are in mint condition with no cracks or chips. It is unsigned and the face measures 1 5/8" x 3/8". Size is about a 5 1/4.
Nifty pre 1950s Maisel's souvenir made for sale to the tourists ashtray. This is the original kachina used by the trading post. The kachina was up-dated around 1950 (they were closed for a period of time)and is still used today. Maisel's is still a tourist attraction in Albuquerque, NM. The ashtray was used and has some wear -please see photos. I will be happy to email you more if you wish. It measures 3 1/2" long x 2 13/16" at its widest point.
Large petrified wood stone with a burnt orange, lavender grey, brown, and black coloration. The stone is set in a classic Harvey era setting. The face measures 1 1/16" x a hair short of 3/4". Size: 7 or 7 1/8.
Late 30s or early 40s (WWII) era landscape petrified wood stone surrounded by a very fine twisted wire and a scalloped rim. It looks like a swamp to me. It is about a size 4 3/4 but can be sized to fit. Colors are a peach tinted grey , black, with a red streak in the sky. In excellent condition.
Native American hand carved birds from shell, with fine heishi, turquoise, catlinite,and onyx or jet spacers. I am attributing this to Mr. Calabaza because his daughter felt the bird carvings were made by her Father. Total length is 36 inches, it will hang 18 inches down from the center back of the neck. I had the necklace Native re-strung for wearing security. All of the elements are original except the string and the loop for the hook at the back.
The Navajo pendant has a beautiful deep blue spiderweb stone in a classic setting and is in excellent condition. It is hallmarked DB under a bent arrow, c.1970s. The pendant weighs 26.6 g or .86 ozT. It measures 2 5/16" long without the top loop or bail and 1 1/2" wide. The total length is 2 1/2" long. The stone measures 1 1/2 " long x 1 1/8" wide, c.1970s.
This exquisite Navajo pin is expertly crafted with landscape petrified wood and sterling silver by a masterful silversmith.
