Document signed by General E. D. Townsend authenticating a copy of a record on file. General Townsend was the Assistant Adjutant General during the Civil War and became the Adjutant General after the war. This paper is dated post war, Nov. 18, 1869, and signed in the old faded iron(?) brown ink. The left side was folded back and trimmed to accommodate two metal rings for insertion in a binder. It measures 8 inches wide by 5 1/2" deep...
Very collectible train with straight steam center top and milkmaid on the left. Dated August 2, 1862. Date and signatures hand inscribed. Two margins intact. Stamped on back INTEREST PAID TO 1 JANUARY, '63 & INTEREST PAID TO 1ST JANUARY '65. Please see photos for condition.
Fine original photo of the Dermont's Indian collection of art & taxidermy coyote or wolf. Nellie & her husband were early settlers in Arizona. The photo is dated on the back 03/19/07. There are some pin pricks in the mount and the upper left side of the photo. They are not noticeable for normal viewing...
Fine grade $10.00 dollar note, 4th issue, September 2, 1862, Richmond, VA. Commerce leaning on cotton, with bust of R.M.T. Hunter, confederate cabinet member in the lower right. Note is cut cancelled. It measures 3 1/16" x 7 1/4".
Nice Confederate States of America $20 dollar note dated April 6th, 1863 from Richmond, VA. The bill is the 6th issue and in very good condition for its age. It measures 6 15/16" x 2 7/8".
