Fine Tlingit 1890s pictorial bag with an eagle, shield, and floral beadwork. The glass beads are green, pink, blue, white, and yellow along with brass and steel faceted beads. It is lined with a cotton print. I believe Tlingit pictographic beadwork is fairly rare. There are no missing beads, the wool has a few minor moth holes that does not detract from the beadwork (see photos). The hanging loop is missing but could be restored easily. It measures 12" long and 8" across at it widest point...
This is a exquisite and finely carved ivory harpoon head of a bird. The Old Bering Sea Culture dates c. 100 BC to 250 AD. The bottom of the beak and the tip is missing but that is not uncommon. They were discarded after they were damaged in the hunt and a new one was made. This piece measures 3 7/8 inches long x 1 inch high and 9/16 inch across the top.

Offered is a beautifully carved/incised blackware pot of the Avanyu (water serpent)by Maria "Barbarita" Naranjo (1916-?). The pot is hand coiled and traditionally polished and fired. The piece is in fine vintage condition. The University of Arizona Museum has an almost identical piece in their collection dated 1960. I have dated this piece similarly. There are no chips or cracks or wear marks. The pot measures 5 1/4 inches in diameter, the opening is 4 1/4 inches across, and it stands 4 3/16 inc...
Native American hand carved birds from shell, with fine heishi, turquoise, catlinite, and onyx or jet spacers. I am attributing this to Mr. Calabaza because his daughter felt the bird carvings were made by her Father. Total length is 36 inches, it will hang 18 inches down from the center back of the neck. I had the necklace Native re-strung for wearing security. All of the elements are original except the string and the loop for the hook at the back.
This exquisite Navajo pin is expertly crafted with landscape petrified wood and sterling silver by a masterful silversmith. The stone has pale coral hues in the slightly lavender gray sky and a moon(?) at the top. The trees or brush are a dark brown. The stone is in mint condition. The light streaks in the base are part of the stone and are not cracks. The tiny raindrops (approx. 1.5 cm)are set in little silver rings that measure about 2.5 cm. Overall size of the brooch is 2" x 1 5/16" and ...
