| A rare Chinese carved shoushan soapstone (furong) Luohan. circa Qing dynasty. Very finely engraved detail to the loose flowing robes. The edge of the robe has traces of gilding. There is a noticeable fracture line runiing diagonally across the front & back. This is a natural feature of the stone, not damage. On close inspection, the line is actually decorated so was present while the piece was being worked. Hight 10.5 cm | ||
