From our European Collection, a fine pair of Louis XVI style giltwood fauteuils a la reine (Queen's Armchairs), last quarter 19th century circa 1875-1895, constructed with a banded upholstered back surmounted by a carved and gilded laurel wreath above a guilloche (braided interlaced ribbon) banding, flanked on both sides by turret motif finials continuing to outset arms on reeded baluster supports, all above a newly upholstered in red fabric shaped seat, raised on tapering legs. ...click for details
