Kwasaki waraku VII Futaoki Lid Rest Raku (Kyoto Japan)
Born and raised in Kyoto, Kawasaki Waraku VII (b. 1936) is a famous name in the tea ceremony circles. One of the artists working in the Raku style, he is known for making tea bowls and other implements for tea ceremonies. This warm looking brownish-amber colored futaoki (lid rest) is simple in nature, and perfect for tea ceremonies. Perfect condition, 1 7/8 (4.7 cm) tall, 2 1/8 (5.6 cm) in diameter. Comes in original signed box and artist sealed cloth.
