He is a late 19th century artist and most known for his later Art Deco period paintings. This painting depicts a crazed Don Quixoti attacking a flock of sheep that he sees as an opposing army. His assistant Sancho can be seen calling out in vain in an attempt to stop Quixoti. Enraged herders can also be seen on the right side of the painting...
