WATERBURY GILT METAL CLOCK W/PORCELAIN INSERT, 19TH C
A very fine WATERBURY GILDED METAL MANTEL CLOCK (8-DAY), WITH ENAMELED PORCELAIN INSERT. Waterbury Clock Co., Connecticut.

Age: Late 19th c.

Dimensions: 12-1/2" tall

This fine clock works. It chimes on the half hour. It is designed to run for up to 8-days per winding. It has been checked, cleaned and verified working by a reputable clock shop. This ornate gilded metal clock has an impressively maintained original finish, (seldom seen). It obviously was well-kept and maintained. It has a enameled porcelain insert depicting a minstrel dancing and serenading a young, smiling lady. There is a Waterbury black label affixed to the bottom of the clock base. Due to age the label has become brittle and approximately 1/2 the label is missing. This clock comes with a newer key which fits perfectly.

Condition Consenus: Very Fine condition. The clock is in working order presently.
Note: the gilded finish is very fresh and more vibrant and brighter than what my enlargements show. Please write me if you would like additional images.
