This is a wonderful work of art depicting 6 male profiles in red and black. The bottom 3 heads are embossed. This means that these head were first created in the paper as raised images. Next the pigment was applied. This creates a wonderful play of light and shadow.

Yannis Gaitis, 1923-84, born in Athens Greece. Yannis, a renown international artist, was working in France when he created this series.
