Dimensions: 15" x 11" (image size to mat)

A fine etching in vivid color by renown and listed English 19th century engraver SAMUEL ARLENT EDWARDS. This work is of a shrouded young woman named " Madeline." She looks demur gazing slightly downward and to her left with her hands gently resting upon one another. The tones and colors are rich and sublime at the same time. The engraving is pencil signed in the lower right "Engraved & printed in color at time of printing / S. Arlent Edwards." This engraving is still in its original frame and matting as sold by M. Knoedler in New York. The engraving is NOT laid down.

Condition Consensus: Very Fine Condition. In original frame with original mat.
