Here is a splendid hanaire (vase), made by Yamashita Joji, a renowned Bizen potter, born in Tokyo in 1947. Yamashita Joji studied art in Canada before becoming a student of Isezaki Jun in 1971. Since then, he has exposed in many venues, nationally and internationally. The master potter is a member of the Nihon Kogei Kai (Japan Traditional Craft Association), which has exposed his works many times.
The hanaire is signed, in perfect condition, and comes in a signed wooden box. Dimensions: 12.5 x 23.5 cm (5 x 9.4 in); weight 620g (22 oz)
