Vintage Porcelain Hachi signed Mokusen

Here is a particularly well made porcelain hachi (bowl) with amazing underglaze cobalt blue drawings of what seem to be a tree, some flowers and a poem. The box is also decorated to reflect the art of the vessel it contains. This is a unique work made by a very skilled craftsman. Although there is no information about the maker, it is very probable a painter or calligraphist, named Mokusen, decorated the bowl made by a porcelain maker, prior to firing. The porcelain is also of very good quality. The bowl, which probably dates from the middle of the 20th century, is in excellent condition and will be shipped with the painted box. Dimensions: 18 cm x 9 cm (7.2 in x 3.6 in); weight 485g (1.7 lb) More pictures available on demand. Please make sure you read my Sales Policy Page and kindly inquire if you have any question.
