Guinomi by Kato Sho
This splendid guinomi is part of a wonderful collection of sake cups acquired over many years by a private Japanese collector.

Kato Sho (1927-2001) was a major Seto potter, bestowed with some of the most important awards on the Japanese pottery scene and recognized as an Intangible Cultural Property of the Aichi prefecture in 2000; a great achievement. During his prolific career, he exposed in some of the best venues in Japan like the Asahi and Nitten expositions, and exhibited his work abroad as well: United States, Mexico, New Zealand and other countries.
