| A very elegant porcelain vase of ovoid form w. a small opening covered all-over in a deep, mottled red-purple glaze. Signed by famous ceramic maker Yasuaki Maeda (b. 1937),* one of the leading artists in the modern revival of Arita porcelain. The vase is accompanied by a signed kiri-box. Made ca. 1990. H 24 cm, D 15 cm. Condition: Perfect. * Yasuaki Maeda’s works have been accepted for participation in the yearly Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (Nitten) many times and received a number of awards.
