Kresten Bloch for Royal Copenhagen,  stoneware bowl
An attractive and fine bowl of stone ware decorated in light Sung glaze w. bluish elements. Signed Kresten Bloch* for Royal Copenhagen. Dated 1948. H 8 cm, Diam. 18 cm. Condition: Perfect. *Kresten BLOCH (1912–1970). Started his career as a professional ceramic artist at the Royal Copenhagen in 1942 and was from the beginning groomed as the successor of Carl Halier. Bloch’s works are often made in collaboration with Carl F. LUDVIGSEN and the best, most successful of these pieces date from ca. 1945 to 1955. Artistic leader of the stone ware production at Royal Copenhagen from 1954–1970.
