Unusual tea bowl by artist Morino Hiroaki Taimei. 1990
A tea bowl (chawan) of porcelain decorated with an unusual, crystalline, golden glaze with small specks of Prussian blue. Made by the important, modern pottery artist Morino Hiroaki Taimei (b. 1934), known for his abstractly decorated and unique pieces. Signed at the bottom. The bowl comes w. a fully signed kiri-box. Heisei, c. 1990. H 7.5 cm, D 11.5 cm. Condition: Perfect but for a few, minute chips to foot rim that do not in any way detract from the beauty of the piece.
