A superbly carved okimono in boxwood depicting an eagle resting on a rock with its head turned backwards. Inlaid eyes. Signed on base: Ikko. Japan, Meiji, ca. 1875. H 15 cm. Condition: Old drying crack to base, otherwise in perfect condition.
